Boys Over Flowers

Boys over flowers.... where do I start? So, the very first drama the superhero ever watched was the Japanese version of boys over flowers: Hana Yori Dango... so that drama has a very special place in my heart (along with the friend who introduced me to it), which meant that this drama had a lot to live up to and a lot on the line for me. I was quite impressed by and very addicted to this drama. Although I didn't find the love between Gu Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di as significant as the love shown between Ji Hoo and Jan Di, which is a bit disappointing considering the series was meant to totally revolve around the love life of Jun Pyo and Jan Di.... Other than that I enjoyed myself watching it. The storyline was pretty good, but it is a bit wishy washy a times, I think they tried to cram too much in, too close to the end of the show. I really love those two songs "Almost Paradise" and "Stand by Me" in this soundtrack.

Synopsis~
Geum Jan Di is an ordinary girl whose family owns a dry cleaning store.
While delivering dry cleaning to a student at the prestigious Shin Hwa High School, she saves his life by stopping his attempt at jumping off the roof and is given a full swimming scholarship.
She attends Shin Hwa High and soon is terrorised by the leader of F4 (the four richest and most popular boys at the school) Gu Jun Pyo.
Although Jun Pyo persists on bullying her, he begins to find himself attracted to Jan Di. However, Jan Di has a crush on Yoon Ji Hoo, Jun Pyo's best friend.
When she realises that Ji Hoo is merely a close friend and that she really loves Jun Pyo the couple are thrown into a dilemma as Jun Pyo's mother sets out to break them up and find a more suitable match for her son.

Secret Garden

This is great. It was a super well done drama, that really, really made me laugh. The actor's performances were perfect, the story line was perfect, the OST was perfect. It just screams perfect. It's just a super fun drama, always making me laugh. It's one of those dramas that you have to see in action to really understand why I am ranting about it, because ranting just isn't enough. Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won were great, and I really loved that little rhyme... 'Kim Soo Han Mul... etc etc' so cute!

Synopsis~
The drama tells the story of Kim Joo Won, an arrogant and eccentric CEO who maintains the image of seeming perfection, and Gil Ra Im, a poor and humble stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses. Their accidental meeting, when Joo Won mistakes Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin, marks the beginning of a tense, bickering relationship, through which Joo Won tries to hide a growing attraction to Ra Im that both confuses and disturbs him. To complicate matters further, a strange sequence of events results in them swapping bodies.

Cheongdamdong Alice

I watched this one because I am into fashion, and this is about the fashion industry, so I thought, why not give it a go? But the thing is, I didn't enjoy it all too much. It made me a bit cranky, the people in this drama are extremely shallow. Shallow to the max. That made it really hard to enjoy for me, there is a fine line between being materialistic or striving for the best, and just being down right greedy and (yes I will say it again) shallow. This drama crossed that line for me. It had great potential, but I just don't think it hit that bar. Despite all of this, Park Shi Hoo's performance was impressive and he made me laugh. A lot.

The Best Love

(sometimes known as the greatest love)

Well, well. This wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be your good old typical love triangle drama blah, blah, blah. In some ways it sort of was, but I think it bought more to the table than just that, if you know what I'm saying. It was really cute and very funny. Altogether a really nice light hearted drama, one that you walked away smiling after each episode. And the doctor guy was just so cute! agh!so innocent and adorable!I think it was a little bit too predictable in some ways, but the humor seemed to balance that out. All in all, if you are looking for a bit of fun and a laugh, then the best love is for you.

The Moon that Embraces the Sun

This Drama is great. So, so great. If you're not sure about how you feel about historical dramas, this is the place to start. The children played really sweet roles, and played their part really, really well. The episodes were packed with intensity and for some, I simply couldn't stop the tears from running. But it's well worth it, because the story is just so beautiful. A wonderful drama, I thoroughly recommend it.
Synopsis~
The story of the secret love between Lee Hwon, a fictional king of Joseon, and Wol, a female shaman. Wol was born as Heo Yeon Woo, the daughter of a noble family who won the love of the crown prince, Hwon. Her enemies, jealous of her family's position in court, schemed against her and wrestled away her rightful place as crown princess and nearly takes her life. Years later, an embittered Hwon meets Wol, now a female shaman who has no recollection of her past.
