Little bits of Life.

Okay, so I knew this isn't necessarily a 'thing' to review, but I am reviewing my experience, because it was a really lovely experience.

Making my way to the Gardens, I took a snapshot of my view.

The Brisbane Botanic Gardens are located right next to the Brisbane river, and when it was such a lovely day outside I simply couldn't resist paying them a visit. One of my favourite things to do these days is to pick up some sushi and bubble tea in the city and walk my way down to the gardens and choose a spot by the river in the shade to peacefully enjoy my lunch and soak up the surroundings.

The view from where I sat.

I think it is a really peaceful and rewarding experience. It also makes me really appreciate how fortunate I am to live somewhere so beautiful and also allows me to look forward to what is in store for me. When I am really busy and stressed out, it gives me a chance to come back down to earth and really feel everything around me. I really love spending my time here.

Brunch @ Cicada + Walk around the city

Roasted Peaches, toasted Brioche with yogurt, palm sugar and Hazelnut crumbs at Cicada restaurant on Adelaide Street in Brisbane City.

Both of us having a day off on Monday, Mum and I headed into Brisbane to enjoy a nice day out together. To start off we headed to Cicada restaurant- a place my Mum really loves to eat- to share Brunch together. My meal 'Peaches' (pictured above) was delectable. I am a huge fan of foods on the sweeter side, so this was perfect for me. The Brioche was beautiful and soft, along with the luscious peaches, I thought that the Hazelnut crumbs just took the whole meal to a new level, by adding the extra crunch and nutty delight.

I went classic and just ordered an OJ for my drink.

Mum's Breakfast- 'The Ploughman's' was beautiful ham with cheese, poached egg, pickles, relish and sourdough bread. She said it was delicious :)

After Breakfast, we headed into the city and took a walk, ending up in the Botanical Gardens- they are very lovely, after all. I think this scene is just perfect for a wedding or a Romance film set.

Jacaranda trees are in full blossom here, because it's Spring and they truly look stunning.

Finished the hot day with an S.Pellegrino. They are a little too flavourless for me, but still refreshing.

Food for Thought

I was browsing the internet the other day and found these, so I thought I would share.

I hope you're all having a great week out there- don't forget to devour some good food and to appreciate some nice places.
